big jordan was a close friend for a good while back in the late 80's early90's- we lived together in eugene, or. sharing the "ramp house" with stevewright, davey rogers and mark hubbard- jordan was the resident artist- hetaught us all how to make fimo beads and always inspired us to be moreartistist- he was always drawing or painting or making something cool- heencouraged all of us to join in as well- he was the first guy i knew orlived with who was an "artist"- he seemed to live in the world of hisdrawings- he would draw little guys and make voices and characters forthem- the characters seemed to be little parts of himself- they werealways goofy, never serious- jordan was also the first guy i ever knew wholistened to classical music- i don't know if he was a huge fan but wewould make beads and do arts and crafts in his room and he would alwayshave a public radio station on with classical music on in the background-one winter we listened to so much classical that we actually knew what wewere listening to sometimes-i haven't seen jordan in a few years- i always knew what he was up tothrough mutual friends but never saw him- i never felt an urgency to hookup with him because i just assumed our paths would cross natually and wewould hang out sooner than later- he was one of those lifelong friends- ifigured we would run across each other here and there forever-i was really upset to hear about his death- at first it didn't hit so hardbecause i hadn't been near him lately but as soon as i started looking atthe old photos the memories came back and i broke down- jordan was a bigpart of my life during a great time- we had a great time together and i amreally sorry that he is gone-
