I just wanted to say how very sad I am today....I met Jordan when I was 18yrs old. He was living near campus in Eugene in a basement and I think it was on 6th Street. My house had burned down a few months earlier and I had lost everything. Prior to my house burning down I had a bunch of snakes & lizards as pets. They all died in the fire and a friend of mine had rounded up the bones from two of them. He gave me the bones but I didn't know what to do with them. One day I was sitting at Jordans house drinking a beer (he used to buy me beer at this time since he was 3yrs older than me) and we were talking about the fire and my reptiles. I told him I had these bones but didn't know what to do with them. Jordan says to me..."hey bro let me make you some beads and we can string it up on a sick rope!" His work was so good I was like hell ya man!! So he did....I wore that necklace everyday for 10yrs. It went to dozens upon dozens of concerts, it went to the top of mountains, it went to countless parties and it was there for all the girls I will never forget! I still have it, it is right here next to me. A few beads are missing, the bones are no longer white and it had to be restrung a few times. I gave it to a girl once because I was young and in love and confused. Lucky she was a good enough of a friend to give it back to me. People used to ask me....why do you always wear that man? And I would say....this is one of my most prized possessions. Because it symbolizes friendship to me. I am sure I will always have it....Jordan and me have the same birthday. I think that is one of the things that made us "click" from the get go. He and I were not close or tight bros. But he went out of his way to be extra nice to me. He left an impression on me that will always be here. I had always hoped in the back of my mind that he and I might cross paths again someday.I realize it has been 3 1/2yrs since Jordan left us. But I found out this morning and I am very very sad.
